Zainab Khan, DMD
Dr. Khan was born in Chicago, IL and grew up overseas as her father was with the US Army Corps of Engineers. When they returned stateside they lived in Augusta, GA. She attended high school and then pursued a bachelor's degree in biology from Augusta University. Prior to completing her degree, she gained admission to the Dental College of Georgia (formerly known as the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry). She graduated as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2002.
After graduation, Dr. Khan and her husband moved to Gwinnett County, and have resided here since then. She was an associate in private practice for several years in the Dacula and Commerce areas. She also gained experience in the public health sector at Hall County Health Department. This range of training in dentistry has allowed her to treat patients of all ages with a wide variety of dental needs.
Giving back to underserved communities is something Dr. Khan is very passionate about. During her dental career, she has been affiliated with several clinics to treat the underserved population in Georgia. She has worked with Truth's Clinic, Clarkston Community Health Center and Good Samaritan Health Center.
Dr. Khan is constantly keeping herself updated with the latest in dentistry. She is a member of Spear Dental Continuing Education Study club. She invests many hours monthly seeking continuing education in various aspects of dentistry. Her primary goal as a dentist is to assist her patients in attaining their optimal dental health, which directly impacts their general health. She enjoys doing this by making personal connections with her patients and tailoring treatment to their needs.
Dr. Khan and her husband have two children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, gardening, cooking and volunteering with various organizations.
